Stained Glass Classes

This class is designed for those who have never taken a stained glass class before.  You will learn how to cut, grind, foil & solder your projects.  As an added bonus, you will learn glass etching.

Class Projects - Beginner students will complete two projects.  At the first class all students make the same suncatcher.  The second project is the student's choice.

1st Project - All students make the same 3 piece suncatcher.  This gives you the very basic know-how you need to go on to your second project.  Your suncatcher will be completed in the first class.  You do not need to bring anything from home.

2nd Project - Student's Choice - Window Panel - Wall Hanging Larger Suncatcher - The students choose the second project.  You pick the project design, colors and texture of glass. You will learn how to put together a larger design.  (We have over 500 books and 400 colors/types of glass from which to choose from)  Students are required to pay for the glass and supplies for this project.  (Average cost is between $35-$50)

Tools - You do not need to purchase any tools for either project.  Tools will be provided for your use.  If you decide you like this craft and want to purchase your own tools, they can be purchased at class.  Students receive a 10% discount on all hand tools.

Class Attendance - There are a total of six (6) classes.  You must attend one (1) of the Basic Beginner Classes (see the Class Schedule).  You then have approximately 2 months in which to attend 5 more classes.  These classes are held every Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday nights from 6-8 PM.  These classes can be staggered.  In other words, you can come one week on a Monday and the next week on a Tuesday & Wednesday.   You can also take your remaining 5 classes anytime the store is open.
